These terms apply to the Comment Bank browser extension and this website. Comment Bank and Chalk & Circuit are trading names of Ashraf bin Naim ("we", "us"). By installing the extension or buying a Pro license you agree to these terms.

1. The product

Comment Bank is a Chrome extension that stores feedback comments on your computer and inserts them into text fields. The free version holds up to 50 comments. Comment Bank Pro is a one-time purchase that removes that limit and adds CSV import.

2. Purchases and our reseller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to your purchase.

Prices are shown in US dollars. Sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout depending on your location.

3. License

When you buy Pro, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Comment Bank Pro. One license covers one teacher, on any computers that teacher personally uses. You may not share, resell or publish your license key. A school buying for several teachers needs one license per teacher.

The license is perpetual for version 1.x of the extension, including its updates. A future major version, if any, may be offered as a separate purchase. Features you already paid for will keep working in the version you have.

4. Your content

The comments you write are yours. They are stored in your browser and are not sent to us. You are responsible for keeping backups, for example with CSV export. Please do not store sensitive personal information about students in comments.

5. Acceptable use

Do not reverse engineer the license check, distribute modified copies of the extension, or use the product for any unlawful purpose.

6. Refunds

See our refund policy. You can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.

7. Availability and changes

We may update the extension to fix problems, keep it working with Chrome, or add features. Google Docs, Google Classroom and other websites can change without notice, which may affect how inserting works on those sites. We will make reasonable efforts to keep the product working but cannot guarantee it on every website.

8. Warranty and liability

The product is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the product is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law in your country.

9. Termination

If you break these terms, your license may be ended. You may stop using the product at any time by uninstalling it.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Purchases are governed by the terms in force on the date of purchase.
